Stevia Plus combines FOS to promote the growth of healthy intestinal flora with Stevia, an herb useful as an alternative sweetener to sugar or aspartame, is safe for diabetics, and may help regulate blood sugar, balance blood pressure, inhibit the growth of bacteria including that which causes tooth decay and gum disease, reduce cravings, improve digestion and gastrointestinal function, and reduce the desire for tobacco and alcoholic beverages.

Stevia is a small green plant with leaves that have a delicious and refreshing taste, which can be 30 times sweeter than sugar. Stevia supports the function of the pancreas. Stevia extract will not adversely affect blood sugar levels. Stevia Plus contains the intensely sweet glycosides (200-400 times sweeter than sugar) extracted from Stevia leaves, and a prebiotic nutritional supplement called fructooligosaccharides (FOS). FOS, a functional food ingredient, is a mildly sweet, low calorie powder, which has been extracted from natural foods such as bananas, tomatoes, onions, garlic and grains. This naturally delicious tasting, highly beneficial product can be sprinkled on or used in preparing fruit, cereal, cookies, cakes, etc., and into any beverage. It is stable in both heating and freezing. FOS selectively nourishes the friendly bacteria (lactobacillus and bifidobacteria) in the intestines, thus increasing the number of these good bacteria that will most benefit the body's gastrointestinal functions. FOS provides a powerful fiber effect but without the required bulk usually found in other fiber products.Studies have shown that as these beneficial bacteria increase they begin to provide the body with many of the following benefits: Improves regularity. Helps produce vitamins. Assists and strengthens the immune system. Helps prevent toxic compounds from forming. Helps control the formation of free radicals. Prevents overgrowth of Candida Albicans.
